1:1 Online Somatic Therapy
Coming Back To Yourself
1:1 Online Somatic Therapy sessions for those who want to access life’s magic through their nervous system and body
Does this sound familiar to you?
You know there’s a deeper layer to life—a place where you feel connected, alive, and aligned with your inner truth.
You’re learning to not be defined by your past traumas and actually seeing it as a source of power.
You’re ready to discover the wisdom that your body holds.
You desire a life where emotions, sensations, and relationships flow with ease and bring joy and fulfillment.
You’re curious about stepping into your fullest self, creating a life that reflects your values and dreams.
You’re ready to live the life of your dreams!
Then, you are in the right place!
After years struggling with health issues, such as arthritis, chronic pain, depression, anxiety and many more that prevented me from living a healthy life, I decided to search for my own answers by studying a different range of modalities.
Many healing modalities I found would make me feel overwhelmed and would leave me exhausted for days. These modalities would not prepare me to navegate through my trauma, and my traumatised system did not have the capacity to deal with more sad, frustrating and angering memories.
When I encountered Somatic Experiencing my perspective of healing changed.
I understood that in order to heal trauma and my body, I did not need to dig in my past and take the risk of retraumatizing myself.
I finally understood that the key for healing was not in investigating the stories, finding who to blame or even looking for forgiveness but in the relationship with my body, connecting with my internal and external resources, and in strengthening my capacity to feel safe in my own skin.
Today I show you that healing is a journey that happens through the body, without overwhelming you or making you feel exhausted for days!
What are the Sessions about?
The Individual Somatic Therapy sessions are a blend of Somatic Experiencing & Holistic Health Coaching that will help you understand your nervous system, strengthen the relationship with your body and resolve trauma.
When you connect with your body deeper, you learn to read its subtle messages, live from your intuition and feel more confident and safer in your own skin.
In these individual sessions you have my full attention and presence, to guide you in connecting with your body in a grounded and present way. You understand how the nervous system works, so you can be more present in the expression of your emotions and sensations.
You do not have to relive painful stories from the past, since the trauma happens in the body, there is no need to analyse past stories in an intellectualised manner. Therefore, the sessions take place in a resourced and integrated way, without overwhelming your body.

Frequently Asked Questions
1.What is Somatic Experiencing (SE)?
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a naturalistic approach to the renegotiation and healing of trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine.
“SE uses the special awareness of body sensations to renegotiate the traumatic experience both physically and mentally. It is not necessary for the individual to relive the trauma.
The renegotiation combines elements from the original traumatic event with powerful forces and resources that were not available at the time of the overwhelming threat.
The uncompleted survival response can thus come to its natural end. Traumatic stress can be resolved and the activated energy, which was trapped in the nervous system, can be discharged in small doses.
The fear of re-experiencing the traumatic event, whether in reality or memory, can be overcome, and the chance of being re-traumatized is diminished. The effects of previous traumas can be resolved, and the encapsulated life energy can flow once again.” - Hedy Leitner-Diehl
2. What is Trauma?
Trauma can be defined as any unresolved response of the autonomic nervous system. It is the nervous system's response to an event, not necessarily the event itself. Events can affect each of us very differently.
"In short, trauma is about loss of connection to ourselves, to our bodies, to our families, to others, and to the world around us. This loss of connection is often hard to recognize, because it doesn‘t happen all at once. It can happen slowly, over time, and we adapt to these subtle changes sometimes without even noticing them. These are the hidden effects of trauma, the ones most of us keep to ourselves." - Dr. Peter Levine
It is important to point out that there are 2 different types of trauma: shock trauma and developmental trauma.
Shock trauma is linked to an overwhelming event or life threatening experience, whereas developmental trauma is the result of childhood experiences of mistreatment or abuse that has been repeated many times. These cumulative experiences may involve verbal abuse, neglect or manipulation by a parent or any other person.
3. What does a Somatic Therapist do?
A somatic therapist educates clients about how their autonomic nervous systems work and helps them increase their awareness of their own bodily sensations.
As a practitioner of “body psychotherapy,” the therapist talks to his/her client about what exactly is being experienced and perceived in the body.
The therapist also acts as a trusted partner and calm presence during sessions, which can feel stressful and overwhelming for the client at times. Overall the therapist’s goal is to help decrease the distress and symptoms that the client is feeling so she/he can experience improved coping skills and quality of life.
4. What happens in a Somatic Experiencing session?
The goal of SE therapy sessions is to release traumatic activation through increased tolerance of bodily sensations and related emotions.
SE integrates body awareness into the psychotherapeutic process, which is what makes it unique. Sessions focus on creating awareness of inner physical sensations, which are seen as the carriers of the traumatic memory.
Unlike other approaches, SE does not require reliving the traumatic events and discussing them in detail. Instead, clients learn to monitor their own arousal through body awareness and relaxation techniques.
SE therapists help their clients move between aroused states and calmer states. Sessions usually involve purposefully triggering low‐level autonomic nervous system activation, tracking bodily reactions and then working on dissipating the reactions.
Techniques and mechanisms that are used to help a client self-regulate arousal include:
Titration, which helps keep arousal at a low level during the processing of traumatic triggers. Pendulation, which describes balancing between regulated parts in the body and dysregulated parts. Discharge, which involves dissipating arousal. Relaxation techniques, including breathing exercises and visualization.
5. How long does a session last?
The session lasts for 60 minutes.
